ANSIpants16M - the terminal ANSI art studio
https://ansipants.com

INSTALL

  ./install.sh
  ansipants

install.sh puts `ansipants` and `anscat` in your PATH and installs the
ANSIpants VGA font (ANSIpantsVGA.ttf) into your user font folder.

macOS: if the download is quarantined, clear it before unpacking:
  xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ansipants16m-macos*.tar.gz
Needs macOS 10.14.4 or later on Intel, macOS 11 or later on Apple
Silicon. iTerm2 recommended; Terminal.app works with fewer colors.

Linux: the binary is fully static and runs on any distro, and under WSL
on Windows.

THE VGA FONT (optional)

ANSIpants runs in any font. With its own font it looks the way it was
drawn: tool icons, crisp checkboxes, and a big display face in 2x mode.

  1. In your terminal's settings, set the font to "ANSIpants VGA".
  2. Run once: ansipants --font vga

The setting is remembered. To switch back, run ansipants --font system
or untick "VGA font" in the About window. Only turn it on while your
terminal is actually using the ANSIpants VGA font, or the icons will
show as blank or wrong characters.

If the installer couldn't install the font, install ANSIpantsVGA.ttf by
hand (double-click it on macOS; on Linux copy it to ~/.local/share/fonts
and run fc-cache).
